Due to COVID-19 we have had to pause or normally scheduled in person programming. We are taking our youth development program online providing biweekly classes with industry professionals that will teach your athlete how to be strong mentally and physically.

live like champions
Saturdays May 16th - June 13th
Gillian will be teaching "Live Like Champions" transcends any court, any race, and any field. This program will teach your athlete to harness their mental and physical strength to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves. We will work together as a team to give our best in everything we do. (oh, we will have some fun, too!)
Gillian is the founder and head coach of Live Grit SOARS. She is an attorney who represents abused and neglected children at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian.

Wednesday May 20th
Exercise is an important aspect of every day life, Tori will lead a fun and engaging workout that will get be focused on functional movement. (no equipment required)
Tori, owner of Training with Tori, is a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist. As a former Division I athlete, Tori specializes in athletic training and sports conditioning for female athletes. She also coaches field hockey, leads corporate wellness initiatives, teaches group fitness classes as well as competes in numerous endurance races.
healthy after school snacks
Wednesday May 27th
Christina will be teaching the importance of healthy nutrition and how to make an easy after school snack out of everyday items you find in your pantry.
Christina has a masters degree in nutrition and is a registered dietician. She is passionate about nutrition education and loves to help people make healthy eating an easy choice.
Wednesday June 3rd
An interactive yoga class that will focus on proper stretching, balance, and help your athlete focus.
Kenna, the co-founder of Sona Fitness, is a Nike Trainer, NASM-certified personal trainer, and a yoga instructor. She oversees training and program development for Sona Fitness. In addition to lifelong dance training she dances professionally in the Chicago area.

Wednesday June 10th
Each 20-minute mindfulness session will focus on increasing levels of positivity, optimism, and fulfillment through positive visualization techniques, story-telling, and unique anecdotes to being a good student.

chicago kids triathlon
Kicking off its inaugural season in 2015, Live Grit SOARS Kids Tri team is the heart of our programming.
In our first season we were elated to serve 9 youth athletes that were all first-time triathletes, some of which had never ridden a bike or learned how to swim.
We now have the privilege to work with over 50 of Chicago's youth on the west and south side. We aim to provide a safe and supportive place for these youth to develop the skills to persevere towards their long-term goals and become the next generation of leaders.
2020 kids triathlon
We will start training for 2020's triathlon in January and February. From teaching our youth athletes how to ride a bike and swim to walking them through what transitioning looks like, we can't wait to get started.
