Building strong kids through equitable access and empowerment.
what we do
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, and health and safety precautions, all in person programming and events have been suspended until further notice. If you have any questions about our programming or would like to get involved, please get in touch.
be a part of something bigger
Team Live Grit gives you the opportunity to dedicate your participation in endurance sports to ensure all Chicago's youth have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
train with us
Don't go it alone! Working and training with a team is important to all athletes. We've created structured training events and get togethers to not only give you a place to train, but also builds a community for you to enjoy.
race with us
By joining Team Live Grit, you get a free entry into the Chicago Triathlon. After all of our hours of training together we'll be on the course together, side by side, and of course, celebrate together afterward.
give back with us
Not only do you get to be a part of a team with other great, likeminded people, you're also giving back to Chicago's youth athletes and future leaders!
Zoe M, Luis's Mom
Luis was afraid of falling, he was afraid people were going to make fun of him.
I told him, ‘Everyone starts from somewhere. Everyone falls. It’s all about picking yourself up.
He needed somebody else to tell him to get back up. He needed a team.
Krystal S, Brandon's Mom
It’s a beautiful thing.
This is huge for our entire family. Brandon has a younger sister who wants to join now. My husband and I said, ‘We should get out and try that ourselves.’
Shavon L, Jamilah's Mom
It’s something that’s not normally introduced to kids in our community. She loves swimming so it could give her a lot of insight on if she wants to become a professional swimmer.
how you can help
We couldn't do what we do without the support of our donors and volunteers.
Your contribution will help build stronger kids in Chicago.
If you're not able to donate or be a part of our triathlon training team, give your time!
