what we do

Whether our athletes are learning to swim, riding a bike or training for a run, our programs aim to open doors to empowering experiences and positive role models. Our focus is as much on mental well-being as it is on physical well-being.

Chicago Kids Triathlon

Kicking off its inaugural season in 2015, Live Grit SOARS Kids Tri team is the heart of our programming.

train with us

Don't go it alone! Working and training with a team is important to all athletes. We've created structured training events and get togethers to not only give you a place to train, but also builds a community for you to enjoy.

By joining Team Live Grit, you get a free entry into the Chicago Triathlon. After all of our hours of training together we'll be on the course together, side by side, and of course, celebrate together afterward.

Zoe M, Luis's Mom

Luis was afraid of falling, he was afraid people were going to make fun of him.

I told him, ‘Everyone starts from somewhere. Everyone falls. It’s all about picking yourself up.

He needed somebody else to tell him to get back up. He needed a team.

Krystal S, Brandon's Mom

It’s a beautiful thing.

This is huge for our entire family. Brandon has a younger sister who wants to join now. My husband and I said, ‘We should get out and try that ourselves.’

Shavon L, Jamilah's Mom

It’s something that’s not normally introduced to kids in our community. She loves swimming. She wants to be a professional swimmer.
