Live Grit SOARS is Joining the Global GivingTuesday Movement to help Chicago kids SOAR!
This GivingTuesday, Live Grit SOARS will celebrate giving with our 2019 #GiveGrit campaign.
Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. In just seven years, GivingTuesday has radically changed how we think about generosity and showed just how much power communities everywhere have to create change.
GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.
This giving season Live Grit SOARS is asking you to #GiveGrit to Chicago kids. Live Grit SOARS is a Chicago based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides youth in underserved Chicago communities the platform for self-discovery and character development through the sport of triathlon- swimming, biking, and running. Our goal this year through our #GiveGrit campaign is to raise $5,000 to provide equipment for our youth athletes for the 2020 season. We are challenging our community to #GiveGrit by personally donating and nominating two friends or loved ones to #GiveGrit. When you nominate two people to #GiveGrit you will be entered into a raffle to win a free entry to the 6th Annual Grit and Run It 5k taking place on December 14th, 2019.
